What YPL supplies and installs

YPL Safety Nets is a Garware and Tufropes dealer and uses Garware nets with a test certificate. When making an enquiry, tell us the intended use: keeping pigeons out, a balcony safety requirement, sports containment or construction-net supply. A brand name alone does not define the right product for every purpose.

YPL installs home nets in Chennai, Chengalpattu and Kanchipuram and supplies and installs sports nets. Construction, industrial, building and fall-protection nets are supplied and fabricated by YPL, not installed by YPL. This distinction also applies when discussing a Garware-branded product.

Select a specification before comparing prices

Ask for the agreed material, strand specification, mesh opening, colour and intended use to be recorded in the quote. These are product choices, not details that should be guessed from a photo or assumed from the word Garware.

Garware's own building-protection information distinguishes bird-protection products from other net applications. Follow the information for the actual product supplied; do not transfer another product's test result, UV claim or specification to your order.

What to ask about the test certificate

Request the applicable test certificate before accepting the material. Ask YPL to explain which product it refers to, what was tested and any stated conditions. Where a report identifies a product code or batch, compare that information with the supplied product records.

A material test certificate and an installation check are not the same thing. A report about net material does not by itself verify the strength of your balcony wall, hooks, railing or finished anchoring. This guide does not claim a particular laboratory approval, certificate number or person-carrying capacity without the relevant document.

Keep test documents separately from the invoice and warranty terms. They answer different questions: product testing, what you bought, and what after-sales coverage was agreed.

Discuss the opening and access on site

For pigeon exclusion, provide the actual openings to be covered rather than the floor area of your flat. Corners, pipes and service openings need a plan. For a shared duct or facade, clarify apartment approval and safe access before installation.

Ask the installer to explain the proposed border fixings and any surface condition that needs attention. Work at height is not a customer DIY task: do not climb outside, hold the installer from the balcony or use the net as access equipment.

Check the completed net, not only the brand label

At handover, compare the covered openings with the quote and review visible edges and access points from indoors. Ask how cleaning, later AC servicing and any temporary opening should be handled. Raise loose borders or visible damage before accepting the work.

Do not use a pigeon net as a climbing surface or assume it replaces child supervision and a sound railing. If child protection is your requirement, say so explicitly and request an assessment and documentation appropriate to that purpose.
