How to measure a balcony opening for a quote

Measure the opening width and height safely from indoors and count the separate openings. Share these measurements, your locality and clear photographs of the proposed fixing surfaces. Use opening dimensions rather than the floor area of the apartment.

Mention doors, plants, air-conditioning service access and any building restrictions. Do not lean outside a railing to take measurements. Where access or dimensions are uncertain, request a site assessment.

Installation and handover checks

Before fitting, agree the intended use, written net specification, fixing method and coverage. The installation team should assess supporting surfaces and safe access. Maintenance openings and building-approved emergency access should not be blocked without an agreed arrangement.

At handover, discuss edges, joins, fixing points and any remaining gaps. Ask which document applies to your selected product. Balcony net maintenance
