YPL Safety Nets, based in Pallikaranai, installs safety nets and invisible grills for homes in Velachery, South Chennai. We help homeowners choose suitable protection for balconies, windows and open areas, with options for child and pet safety, pigeon control and duct openings.
Velachery has apartments and independent houses where balconies, open windows and utility spaces can need added protection. Safety nets or invisible grills can help reduce fall risks for children and pets without fully closing off these areas, though adult supervision remains essential. Pigeons commonly visit apartment ledges and balconies, making bird nets useful for keeping them out of everyday living spaces. Chennai’s strong sun, monsoon rain and coastal wind also make material choice and secure fixing important. The right installation should suit your opening, its exposure and how your family uses it.
Choosing nets or grills for your Velachery home
For a Velachery home, start by deciding whether you need fall protection, pigeon exclusion or both, since the same net may not suit every purpose. Ask about material suitability for Chennai’s sun and rain, mesh or wire spacing, and fixing points. Check apartment association rules before work begins. Keep access to drains, AC units and utility fittings clear, and arrange regular checks for loose anchors, damaged mesh or wire tension changes.

Frequently asked questions – Velachery
Do you visit Velachery for measurement?
Yes. We cover Velachery and nearby areas such as Adyar, Besant Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur, Kotturpuram. Call +91 96000 35014 or WhatsApp us to book a slot.
Should I choose a safety net or an invisible grill for my Velachery balcony?
The choice depends on the balcony opening, available fixing surfaces and whether your main concern is children, pets or birds. YPL Safety Nets can discuss suitable options; neither nets nor grills replace supervision of young children.
What should I check after monsoon rain at my Velachery home?
From a safe indoor position, look for loose edges, damaged netting or changes in wire tension, especially on exposed balconies. Avoid leaning out or adjusting fittings yourself; contact YPL Safety Nets at +91 96000 35014, open all days from 8 AM to 8 PM, to discuss any concerns.
How long does a balcony net installation take?
Most single-balcony jobs take a few hours. Larger apartments or invisible grills may take a day or more; we confirm the time when we quote.
Which is better for my balcony – a safety net or invisible grill?
Nets are lower cost and great against pigeons. Invisible grills are stainless steel cables that keep the view clear and suit families with children. We show you both at the site visit.
How is the price calculated?
By the area covered in square feet and the material you choose. We give you a written quote after measuring.
