Invisible grills in Tambaram – at a glance
What is an invisible grill?
An invisible grill is a row of thin stainless steel cables fixed across a balcony, window or terrace opening and held in an aluminium track. From a few steps away the cables almost disappear, so light, air and your view stay open while the opening becomes safe.
Families in Tambaram choose invisible grills to protect small children and pets, stop falls from high-rise balconies and keep a clean, modern look instead of heavy box grills.
Before choosing nets or invisible grills for your Tambaram home, explain whether your main concern is child safety, pets or pigeons. Ask about materials suitable for sun and rain, fixing points, and gaps appropriate to the intended use. For apartments, check association rules before drilling or changing the balcony exterior. Keep access for cleaning and emergency exits clear. Inspect fittings periodically, especially after strong winds, and remember that nets do not replace adult supervision or proper railings.
