Invisible grills in Mambakkam – at a glance
What is an invisible grill?
An invisible grill is a row of thin stainless steel cables fixed across a balcony, window or terrace opening and held in an aluminium track. From a few steps away the cables almost disappear, so light, air and your view stay open while the opening becomes safe.
Families in Mambakkam choose invisible grills to protect small children and pets, stop falls from high-rise balconies and keep a clean, modern look instead of heavy box grills.
For your Mambakkam home, first decide whether you need fall protection, pigeon control or a suitable barrier for pets. Do not assume a bird net can serve as a safety net. Ask about material suitability for outdoor exposure, mesh size, grill spacing and the condition of fixing surfaces. In an apartment, check association rules before work begins. Keep access to AC units, drains and emergency exits clear, and ask how to inspect the installation after heavy rain or wind.
