YPL Safety Nets installs balcony safety nets, invisible grills and bird-control solutions for homes in St Thomas Mount, South Chennai. Our team, based in Pallikaranai, helps homeowners choose suitable protection for balconies, windows and duct openings.
In St Thomas Mount, near Guindy, apartments and independent houses can have open balconies, wide windows and utility spaces that need added protection. Families with young children or pets can use suitable safety nets or invisible grills to help reduce the risk of falls through these openings. Pigeons, common around apartment buildings, may also enter balconies and leave droppings near washing or stored items. Chennai’s strong sun, monsoon rain and coastal wind make material selection and secure fixing important. The right installation should suit the opening while preserving useful light and airflow.
Choosing nets or grills for your St Thomas Mount home
For your St Thomas Mount home, first decide whether you need fall protection, pigeon control or both; bird netting should not be treated as a substitute for a safety barrier. Ask about outdoor suitability, mesh size or grill spacing, and fixing points on your balcony or window. Check apartment association rules before installation. Keep access to drains, AC units and emergency exits clear, and arrange checks for loose fittings or damage after strong winds.

Frequently asked questions – St Thomas Mount
Do you visit St Thomas Mount for measurement?
Yes. We cover St Thomas Mount and nearby areas such as Adyar, Besant Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur, Kotturpuram. Call +91 96000 35014 or WhatsApp us to book a slot.
Should I choose safety nets or invisible grills for my St Thomas Mount balcony?
The choice depends on the balcony opening, available fixing surfaces and whether your main concern is children, pets or birds. YPL Safety Nets can discuss suitable options, including spacing and access requirements, for your home.
Can pigeon nets cover a utility balcony in a St Thomas Mount apartment?
Pigeon nets can help restrict bird entry when the opening is properly measured and gaps are addressed. The installation should leave planned access for AC servicing, cleaning and drainage, while following your apartment association’s rules.
How long does a balcony net installation take?
Most single-balcony jobs take a few hours. Larger apartments or invisible grills may take a day or more; we confirm the time when we quote.
Which is better for my balcony – a safety net or invisible grill?
Nets are lower cost and great against pigeons. Invisible grills are stainless steel cables that keep the view clear and suit families with children. We show you both at the site visit.
How is the price calculated?
By the area covered in square feet and the material you choose. We give you a written quote after measuring.
