Invisible grills in Tondiarpet – at a glance
What is an invisible grill?
An invisible grill is a row of thin stainless steel cables fixed across a balcony, window or terrace opening and held in an aluminium track. From a few steps away the cables almost disappear, so light, air and your view stay open while the opening becomes safe.
Families in Tondiarpet choose invisible grills to protect small children and pets, stop falls from high-rise balconies and keep a clean, modern look instead of heavy box grills.
For a Tondiarpet home, first decide whether you need fall protection, pigeon exclusion or both; a bird net should not be assumed to provide child safety. Ask about material suitability for Chennai’s sun and rain, fixing points and the spacing of nets or grill wires. Check that the installation allows window operation, cleaning and any required emergency access. In apartments, confirm building permissions before drilling, and inspect fittings periodically, especially after strong wind or heavy rain.
