Invisible grills in George Town – at a glance
What is an invisible grill?
An invisible grill is a row of thin stainless steel cables fixed across a balcony, window or terrace opening and held in an aluminium track. From a few steps away the cables almost disappear, so light, air and your view stay open while the opening becomes safe.
Families in George Town choose invisible grills to protect small children and pets, stop falls from high-rise balconies and keep a clean, modern look instead of heavy box grills.
Before choosing nets or invisible grills for a George Town home, have the balcony edges, window frames and fixing surfaces checked, particularly in an older building. Ask about outdoor suitability, mesh size and how the installation will accommodate cleaning and regular window use. For cats or small pets, discuss their size and climbing habits rather than selecting by appearance alone. Keep drainage outlets and emergency access clear, and confirm any apartment association requirements before work begins.
