Invisible grills in Arumbakkam – at a glance
What is an invisible grill?
An invisible grill is a row of thin stainless steel cables fixed across a balcony, window or terrace opening and held in an aluminium track. From a few steps away the cables almost disappear, so light, air and your view stay open while the opening becomes safe.
Families in Arumbakkam choose invisible grills to protect small children and pets, stop falls from high-rise balconies and keep a clean, modern look instead of heavy box grills.
For an Arumbakkam apartment, check your association’s rules before fitting nets or invisible grills on the building exterior. Explain whether your main concern is child safety, pets or pigeons, as the required material and spacing can differ. Ask about suitability for Chennai’s weather, fixing points and access for cleaning. Keep drainage outlets and any designated emergency access clear. After heavy rain or strong winds, check for loose fittings, damaged mesh or slack cables.
