Invisible grills in Aminjikarai – at a glance
What is an invisible grill?
An invisible grill is a row of thin stainless steel cables fixed across a balcony, window or terrace opening and held in an aluminium track. From a few steps away the cables almost disappear, so light, air and your view stay open while the opening becomes safe.
Families in Aminjikarai choose invisible grills to protect small children and pets, stop falls from high-rise balconies and keep a clean, modern look instead of heavy box grills.
For your Aminjikarai home, start by identifying the purpose: child safety, pet protection or pigeon control. Do not assume a bird net is suitable for preventing falls. Ask about outdoor durability, mesh or cable spacing and fixing methods before choosing. In an apartment, check association rules before drilling into shared exterior surfaces. Keep access available for cleaning, maintenance and any designated emergency exit. Inspect fittings periodically, especially after heavy rain or strong wind.
