Chennai local rules before fitting nets
Are pigeon nets or pigeon feeding banned in Chennai?
We have not verified a current Chennai-specific pigeon-net ban or pigeon-feeding ban in the sources reviewed. This is not confirmation that no applicable rule or notice exists. Check current Greater Chennai Corporation directions and your building’s rules. A restriction reported in Mumbai or Bengaluru is not a Chennai rule.
Do I need permission for balcony nets?
We cannot confirm that permission or a permit is unnecessary for your particular installation. Check with your landlord or apartment association before drilling, fixing to shared walls or changing the facade. Ask the relevant building authority about structural alterations or a permanent enclosure; association consent does not replace official approval where required.
What access must remain clear?
Agree access for doors, AC servicing, ducts and emergency arrangements with building management before fitting. Do not enclose a required escape route. Check for birds and active nests first; netting is for exclusion, not trapping.
Does Chennai Metro’s use of nets establish a local rule?
No. A May 2023 report described Chennai Metro Rail using nets and spikes at its facilities. It is a public-infrastructure example, not a legal requirement or permission exemption for private balconies.

Very difficult to reach them when you have requirement. Very poor customer service. Language is major issue as none speak Tamil or English. Last very important they are yet to give me invoice work done 3 months back. Even after follow up in whatzup they ignore.Source: Google listing ↗
